about

Fusing 80s rock, classical piano, and oldies pop with contemporary hip hop, up-and-coming artist Sequence offers audiences a breath of fresh air with his debut album, What You Want From Me.

From his parents' divorce, to drunken mornings and failed love interests in Orange County, Sequence addresses a variety of issues in an effort to find meaning in the vicissitudes of daily life.

In "No Rhythm," he tackles his experiences with prejudice by writing, "this pale face gets a lot of mixed signals, the reason why I'm still single & writing hot singles / add some pictures, shrink wrap & a barcode, send it out to the crowd, get burnt worse than charcoal..."

With What You Want From Me, Sequence has created an intimate, vibrant and enduring album - a startlingly mature and compelling document of a promising new voice.
